Small space living is becoming more and more common. Whether that be because you share a space with someone or just the apartments are so expensive so you go as small as possible.
But you shouldn’t compromise on your furniture just because you don’t necessarily have a 2,000 sqft floor plan to work with. There are plenty amazing options to make your space your own. Check out a few of these ideas below!
Stackable Tables
These tables allow you to take up the space of one table but actually have multiples for when your guests are over or maybe you just need an extra surface for a while.
Folding Dining Table
Dining tables with leaves are your best friend. It allows you to open what you need when you need it and keep it nice and condensed when you don’t. I personally have a drop leaf table which opens my space up when I live alone but lets me sit all my friends around it when they come round!
Storage Ottoman
These are fantastic and other things like it! You can either use these as tables -so coffee table and storage in one. Or you can use it as an additional seat while storing other bits and pieces in it!
Lift Top Coffee Table
This allows you to both have a coffee table, storage and a desk! Depending on the work that you do, this will minimize your need for a desk. If you work from home only now and then, or very rarely, don’t waste money on a full desk that can take up so much space! This is a fantastic other option.
Pull Out Sofa Bed
These can be great for multiple options. If you have people staying over now and then, you can save on the air mattress and utilize this as a sleeping space. And depending on the kind of space you have, you could even use this as your proper bed (maybe not this specific model but something like it!) You get a two for one and while it isn’t always ideal as trying to split your life between sleeping and living is good, sometimes we have to make do for a while.
Thin Hall Table
This can be great to fill up a space. Put right behind a sofa to put items on it, just behind a bed or even in a tiny hallway so you can place a light, your keys and other small things. Doesn’t take up much room but gives you another small surface.
Corner Shelves
Corners are wasted spaces a lot of the time so why not utilize them! You can get some great corner shelves to add a little bit more storage to your small space.
Command Strips
The strong command strips are amazing to put things on the wall. If you’re a renter you don’t want to damage walls and putting nails up can be scary if you aren’t 100% sure if you want something to be there. Command strips (the heavy duty ones) are great to put up floating shelves for some extra storage!
